Course Overview

The course structure is designed to integrate practice and connection with each of these themes in turn representing distinct modes of thinking, enquiry and knowledge acquisition in relation to marketing. Students explore underpinning theoretical constructs that inform marketing practice; students engage in practice both in simulated marketing workplace roles and in operating businesses; and they reflect on feedback from industry mentors and assessors. The course aims to develop graduates who are ethical and reflective practitioners with a commitment to professional learning and practice.

Throughout this course, you will discover the role that marketing plays in the success of contemporary organisations and examine the industry’s trends, responsibilities, needs and opportunities . You will graduate with strong theoretical knowledge and simulated work experience. A great way to increase your employability in a range of entry level marketing roles

Course Duration And Delivery Mode
  • This qualification will be delivered over 60 weeks, including 12 weeks holidays.*
Assessment Methods And Facilities

This course is delivered face-to-face, through a combination of tutorials and computer labs and workshops.
Assessment will occur through a variety of methods, including of direct observation, product-based methods, portfolios, and. questioning. Assessment conditions will ensure a simulated industry environment when appropriate and prescribed.

Entry Requirements

Atlantis College of Management has the following entry requirements for the BSB50620 – Diploma of Marketing and Communication. All International students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and must have completed at least the equivalent of Year 12.
  • Meet minimum English Language Proficiency Requirements including:
  • Have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old); or
  • Have studied in English for at least five years in an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States)
  • Have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course or a senior secondary certificate of education or a substantial part of a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification within the last 2 years; or
  • Have successfully completed a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test (Internal) and achieved a minimum CSPA scale score of 110.

 

Pathways

Graduates at this level will have theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for specialised and skilled work with potential employment pathways including roles as a Public Relations Officer, Marketing Officer or Marketing Coordinator.

Graduates at this level may wish to continue further learning and undertake the BSB60520 – Advance Diploma of Marketing and Communication.
