COURSE OVERVIEW
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who provide leadership and strategic direction in the marketing and communications activities of an organisation. They analyse, design and execute judgements using wide-ranging technical, creative, conceptual and managerial competencies.
Their knowledge base may be highly specialised or broad within the marketing and communications field. Typically they are accountable for group outcomes and the overall performance of the marketing and communication, advertising or public relations functions of an organisation.
LOCATION OF COURSE DELIVERY
This course is delivered from Atlantis College of Management at Melbourne city campus which is located on Levels 14 ,474 Flinders Street, Melbourne, Victoria.
COURSE DURATION AND DELIVERY MODE
Delivery of the course is based on 20 hours face to face delivery per week over a period of 72 weeks (including 10 weeks holidays).
ASSESSMENT METHODS AND FACILITIES
This course is delivered face-to-face, through a combination of tutorials and computer lab workshops. Ongoing assessment throughout the semester includes group presentations, work-simulated projects, tests and practical assignments including case study analysis. Equipment includes: Fully Equipped Computer Labs, Business Software and student PCs, Printed and on-line Resources. Spacious classrooms, free internet access.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You must be 18 years of age or over and be able to provide evidence of Year 10 or an equivalent literacy and numeracy level.
- Domestic Students: High school certificate or copy of highest level of qualification
- International Students: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or equivalent) and high school certificate. Pearson PTE Academic 42 overall with no individual communicative skill below 36, or recognised equivalency
- completion of all core units in the BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication
PATHWAYS
Successful completion of this course means you can go on into a pathway to progress into Vocational Graduate Certificate qualifications or other higher education sector qualifications and will have credits towards completion of “Bachelor of Business”.
Graduates will be prepared for entry-level jobs in the marketing and communications industries, Skills in media and marketing strategic planning will be highly valued by organisations seeking leadership to achieve brand recognition and business success.
