COURSE OVERVIEW
The course structure is designed to integrate theory, practice and connection with each of these themes in turn representing distinct modes of thinking, enquiry and knowledge acquisition in relation to marketing. Students explore underpinning theoretical constructs that inform marketing practice; students engage in practice both in simulated marketing workplace roles and in operating businesses; and they reflect on feedback from industry mentors and assessors. The course aims to develop graduates who are ethical and reflective practitioners with a commitment to professional learning and practice.
Throughout this course, you will discover the role that marketing plays in the success of contemporary organisations and examine the industry’s trends, responsibilities, needs and opportunities.
You’ll graduate with strong theoretical knowledge and simulated work experience. A great way to increase your employability in a range of entry-level marketing roles.
LOCATION OF COURSE DELIVERY
This course is delivered from Atlantis College of Management at Melbourne city campus which is located on Levels 14 ,474 Flinders Street, Melbourne, Victoria.
COURSE DURATION AND DELIVERY MODE
Delivery of the course is based on 20 hours face to face delivery per week over a period of 52 weeks (including 7 weeks holidays).
ASSESSMENT METHODS AND FACILITIES
This course is delivered face-to-face, through a combination of tutorials and computer lab workshops. Various forms of assessment may be used including classroom testing, assignments, presentations, group work, case studies and industry or simulated industry practicums. Equipment includes: Fully Equipped Computer Labs, Business Software and student PCs, Printed and online Resources. Spacious classrooms, free internet access.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You must be 18 years of age or over and be able to provide evidence of Year 10 or an equivalent literacy and numeracy level.
- Domestic Students: High school certificate or a copy of the highest level of qualification
- International Students: IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or equivalent) and high school certificate. Pearson PTE Academic 42 overall with no individual communicative skill below 36, or recognised equivalency.
- Entry to this qualification is limited to those individuals who have completed all core units in BSB42415 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication.
PATHWAYS
Successful completion of this course means you can go on into BSB61315 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication and will have credits towards completion of “ Bachelor of Business”.
Upon successful completion of this course, students may gain employment in middle to upper business in marketing into product management, customer service, sales management, branch management, services, communication, and research.
