COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is ideal for those wishing to enter the middle to upper echelons of business, or those wishing to expand on their previous Certificate IV qualification.
Students will gain an extensive depth of understanding across a broad range of business areas. The BSB50120 – Diploma of Business (Leadership) is suited to students with substantial experience in a range of settings and who are seeking to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions.
Individuals in these roles carry out moderately complex tasks in a specialist field of expertise that requires business operations skills. They may possess substantial experience in a range of settings but seek to further develop their skills across a wide range of business functions
This diploma enhances your job prospects by developing business skills such as delivering customer service, maintaining financial records, and producing business documents. You will also gain an understanding of human resource and public relation principles, and learn how to develop a business plan
COURSE DURATION AND DELIVERY MODE
Delivery of the course is based on 20 hours face to face delivery per week over a period of 52 weeks (including 13 weeks holidays).
ASSESSMENT METHODS AND FACILITIES
This course is delivered face-to-face, through a combination of tutorials and computer lab workshops.
Assessment will occur through a variety of methods, including projects incorporating role-plays, case studies and short answer questions.
Equipment includes: Fully Equipped Computer Labs, Business Software and student PCs, Printed and on line Resources. Spacious classrooms, free internet access.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Atlantis College of Management has the following entry requirements for the BSB50120 – Diploma of Business (Leadership):
• Be at least 18 years of age and must have completed at least the equivalent of Year 12.
• Meet minimum English Language Proficiency Requirements including:
• Have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old); or
• Have studied in English for at least five years in an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States)
• Have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course or a senior secondary certificate of education or a substantial part of a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification within the last 2 years; or
• Have successfully completed a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test (Internal) and achieved a minimum CSPA scale score of 110.
PATHWAYS
Upon successful completion of this course students may gain employment in middle to upper business as an Executive Officer, Program Consultant or Coordinator, may go on to study an Advanced Diploma, or use this qualification to gain credit for the first year of University Degree in Business.
