Entry Requirements

Atlantis College of Management has the following entry requirements for CPC30620 – Certificate III in Painting and Decorating:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and must have completed at least the equivalent of Year 12.
  • Meet minimum English Language Proficiency Requirements including:
    • Have an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old); or
    • Have studied in English for at least five years in an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States)
    • Have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course or a senior secondary certificate of education or a substantial part of a Certificate IV or higher-level qualification within the last 2 years; or
    • Have successfully completed a Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test (Internal) and achieved a minimum CSPA scale score of 110.

Into the Qualification:

Entry in the CPC30620 – Certificate III in Painting and Decorating may be supported by lower-level qualifications such as the CPC20120 – Certificate II in Construction. Course Structure

This qualification comprises a total of 29 units of competency, that consists of 26 core units and 3 elective units. The core units provide essential foundation skills and knowledge required across the construction industry in addition to developing specialised trade competencies in painting and decorating. The elective units are selected to complement the core skill set and is aligned with job outcomes within the industry.

All units of competency have been chosen and designed to reflect current industry practices, standards and employer expectations. This structure ensures a balanced combination of knowledge and practical application.
